and terrified that my boyfriend would find out I broke my promise and could not drink responsibly... again

Just two hours ago I promised I wouldn’t drink a drop of alcohol

I admit I really wanted to, but I was tired of all the unpleasant situations alcohol had caused in my life...

All I wanted was to relax and have a good time with my boyfriend at this lovely restaurant...

“May I take your order?”
- Asked the waitress
“Yes, I’ll have Spaghetti Bolognese and water. Scott, what are you having?”
- I said
“Well… I want the Carbonara and a beer, please”
My jaw dropped to the floor; 
as soon as the waitress left I grabbed his arm:
“Why!? You just told me to ask for water and not to drink anything tonight!”
“Well it’s okay for me to ask
for a beer because I can drink responsibly and moderate
my alcohol consumption
but you can’t!”
Those words hit me like a ton of bricks!
“What are you!? THE WINE POLICE!? I’m sick and tired of feeling judged every time I want to have a drink and relax!”
To my surprise he answered:
“Ok Georgia, fine... I trust in you... Just promise me it won’t be like last time and that we will drink responsibly like normal people”
As soon as I saw the waitress I asked her to replace our drinks with a bottle of Chardonnay...

The waitress came with our bottle of Chardonnay and served a glass to each one of us...

The wine was incredibly smooth and fresh

We drank it while telling jokes, laughing at each other, and recounting some romantic stories we had spent together

One drink turned into two,
and before I knew it I was drunk
I looked at my boyfriend and I could see in his eyes he was trying to not get pissed about my drinking...

He clenched his jaw.

Silence.

The atmosphere was tense, but it didn’t last for long.

The only thing that broke the silence was the daggers he used as words when I ordered a second bottle of wine:

“Georgia, I trusted you, you’re on your 5th glass of Chardonnay… I think we should go, let’s not make a scene here”

Deep down I knew he was right, and I just wanted to avoid an argument

So I made my way to the bathroom before our journey home.

As I reached the bathroom, the light was flickering on and off
and as I turned to lock the door

*BOOM*

The light burned out!

It was completely dark! 

I had to pee really bad but was too drunk to bother about it

I was so relieved to make it to the bathroom!

But then something odd happened

I felt this warm liquid running down my thighs,
then my calves and finally onto my new white jeans!

Then it hit me…

Within a nano-second

I started sweating, feeling nauseous and feel a intense tingling in my chest

I had just realized what was happening

The toilet seat was down…

and the pee was bouncing off the top of the toilet lid directly into my pants!!!

“WHAT HAVE I DONE? 
How could I let this happen!?”

I could feel my face turn pale and fear paralyze my whole body.

I left the toilet cubicle, soaked with piss from the waist down.

So I aggressively began to pat myself dry with hand towels.

But I knew that would not do any good!!!


I tried drying my jeans with the hand dryer, but that was only made the smell worse
At this point, I knew my boyfriend was going to get mad at me for taking so long in the bathroom...

So I tried to think of what I was going to tell him.
But I could not think of an easy explanation, other than the fact that I was drunk and that there was no excuse!
I did not know what else to say except that the lights went out and I pissed my pants!

In a rush I went back to the table, hiding my face behind my hair and told my boyfriend I wasn't feeling very well and tried to get away as fast as I could.

As I was putting on my coat to cover my soiled backside, he grabbed me and held me and for a few moments...
Cold sweat engulfed me...
We just looked at each other and I knew that he knew!

I ran out of the restaurant while he paid the bill.

As he left the restaurant, he looked at me without saying a word, and we got into his car

I was so weak and dizzy that I could not say a word on the way home.

I just wanted that night to end at any cost.

"Tomorrow we will talk about this"

Those were the only words that came out of his mouth as he dropped me off at my apartment

Needless to say, that episode still keeps me up at night.

But from that point on, I knew that my 
relationship with alcohol had to change...

And that I could do one of three things:

I could quit for good… 
But I couldn't imagine a life without alcohol and I did not want to!

I loved drinking

It's how I had fun and even if I was able to quit, alcohol would be a mental burden forever!

I could try to ignore 
that this had ever happened and keep my heavy drinking...

But I was tired of all the embarrassment and shame caused by such episodes
Or I could make the decision I did...
I could learn to drink responsibly like normal people...

But how?

And that I could do one of three things:
I could quit for good… 
But I couldn't imagine a life without alcohol and I did not want to!

I loved drinking

It's how I had fun and even if I was able to quit, alcohol would be a mental burden forever!

But how?

So I went on a mission to find out the truth...
The obvious place to start was the AA.
I know AA works for some, but I disliked the way they do it, making you feel bad and have to stop drinking altogether
But I actually gave it a try
I wanted to extract any piece of information that would help me, as little as it could be

And I was shocked to discover that
the AA believes that if you can not control your drinking you are an "alcoholic"
And that you can never go back to being a normal drinker!

The truth is that AA operates on the assumption that there is nothing wrong with alcohol, only with "alcoholics".
But I was determined to find a way to moderate my drinking.
That's why the next few months were a thrill and a rush of revelations...
I forced myself to go through those meetings and instead of being disgusted and judgmental (which any rational person would feel)
I acted like a scientist...
I asked myself:
“WHY can’t people control their drinking? ”
I studied what the most popular substance abuse therapists teach in their books...

I read websites and blogs by college professors on evolutionary psychology and WHY people abuse alcohol to a point where it affects their jobs, their marriages, and their children...
Then, with all that information floating around in my brain.
I sat down and boiled EVERYTHING, what I had learned and discovered, into
A document that would rewire my thinking patterns and trick my brain through psychological exercises
to VIEW ALCOHOL DIFFERENTLY...

So I could drink and have fun as much as I'd like until my mind would naturally and easily stop me before I went overboard
And as soon as I was done writing it, I put it into practice.

Although it helped me drink less, it was too dense and theoretical

I was more confused about my drinking, wondering where to draw the line

But I knew I was on to something.

So instead of having all the information in one single document, almost like a book

I studied what the most popular substance abuse therapists teach in their books...

I read websites and blogs by college professors on evolutionary psychology and WHY people abuse alcohol to a point where it affects their jobs, their marriages, and their children...
Then, with all that information floating around in my brain.

That's why instead of having a bunch of theoretical information about how the brain works

  • I felt my vision and smell had improved.
  • My skin was clear. My hair was awesome
  • And I even dropped a few pounds!
I realized that I had beaten my heavy drinking, and it was one of the happiest moments of my life.
  • I started realizing how healthy I felt.
  • Food tasted better and the music sounded different.
  • I was sleeping better and for less time!
  • My body didn't ache.
  • I felt my vision and smell had improved.
  • My skin was clear. My hair was awesome
  • And I even dropped a few pounds!
I was suddenly excited for the weekend and to see my friends.

I was excited about life!
I felt I had so much more to live for and accomplish.
 I was FREE!!! 
That same Friday, I went to a bar with some friends 

and I was no longer the heaviest drinker...

In fact, I only had one single beer that night

and I did not miss ordering more drinks at all

Something that should have been a major trigger now wasn't one at all.
"What the hell happened to you? How did you suddenly stop drinking?"
- My friend Sally asked with
her mouth falling open
But was this really something I wanted to share with her?

She's my best friend, how could I say no?

And as embarrassing as it was, I told her the whole story

As it turned out, her boyfriend was also a heavy drinker

And his habits were slowly slaughtering their relationship.

She confessed to me that her boyfriend was trying to change, but he could not, no matter how hard he tried

He promised Sally he would stop drinking in the house and only drink socially

he felt bad, ashamed, and guilty about his drinking.

And he even ended up going months without having a single drink.

But then he had massive binges 
Often a few morning drinks would turn into all-day drinking...

So Sally asked me for my 7-day program so she could give it to her boyfriend...

After what felt like ages we met for a drink and when she saw me
A HUGE smile came off her face...
"OH MY GOD. Your program thing is GENIUS and REALLY works!!! My boyfriend just doesn't feel the need to drink as much!!! Thank you!"

I guess Sally couldn't keep a secret... Or maybe people could just see the glow...

Because her friend, Laura called me and asked if I had a trick for her to try...

Simply put... Laura started out as just a little glass of wine to relax at night

But it gradually became a habit of five glasses a night habit, and DEFINITELY more with friends.
So I shared the whole thing with her
She said she was using the "Drink One, Water One" technique I developed by studying how alcohol affects human physiology

And by applying it, she hacked her body's neural thirst regulators and forced her brain to stop craving drinking any kind of liquid

Everyone around them starts to notice that they are in control of their choices and their drinking habits

No wonder friends and family stop being so judgmental and acting like the "wine police"

Because by understanding this
Anyone can moderate their drinking
without ever having to give it up for good

without relying on willpower alone

or without feeling deprived.

I know this sounds almost supernatural 

(and I can't wait for you to experience what it feels like to have complete control over alcohol).

But this isn't magic... It's science!

The truth is that it's not the conscious mind that drives this desire to drink

It's the deeper part of the mind, the subconscious mind

When we are in a negative state of mind, our brain will search through our past trying to find the best resource to make us feel better

and if a glass of wine is the answer...
Our mind will assume that this is the best way to make us feel safe - even if it is 9:00 am!
To add insult to injury, a University of Texas study revealed:
 "When we drink alcohol, our subconscious is learning to consume more."
But that's not all... Because this study is part of an emerging consensus in the neuroscience community that alcohol abuse is basically a learning and memory disorder!
So... What does this mean to you? That you simply need to break those connections between alcohol and those past memories of drinking alcohol to make you feel safe
And consequently, your desire to drink will automatically drop!
This is the reason why hypnosis has long been used as a treatment for alcohol abuse

Because according to a study by Stanford University Medical Centre, which scanned people's brains while they were hypnotized
Hypnosis decreases the function of the default system network, a part of the brain associated with the subconscious mind
